Practical Exams are Art, that's what FCIS Doctors proved recently and I recommend IEEE & ACM to publish this in papers...
I'm in the 4th year (In Shaa Allah Graduation Year), so I passed 6 semesters (and In Shaa Allah about to pass the 7th) at the end of each of them, there were practical exams in which doctors differ... Let me tell u what happened this semester (the 7th) maybe in a later post I'll speak about the 6 past-semesters...
Last Saturday we had an exam in a new-interesting subject that is a research department all over the globe. this sounds nice so far... the materials are taken from Masters that are discussed in our faculty which is good too...
But, let's come to the practical exam...
We were supposed to deliver a package that will be tested on certain Input file provided by the doctor, and u r asked to display certain things... so if u display it right (compared to a judge-output data ;) ) then u pass, if not, u fail and a nice assistant comes and trys to encourage u to do any modification in the code to make it work...
Second part of the exam is an Oral exam, u go and sit beside the Professor who then starts to ask u whatever he wants.. some were asked 1 question and others (like me :D) were asked 5 questions... it all depends on him...
El mohem, I was the first one to finish the practical part... so I was the first one to take the first Shock of the Oral Exam... I sat beside the professor to show him on the laptop a bonus thing we made in the package... actually there were two things, the first he accepted, the second he didn't like :D... ok it's his opinion anyway...
After that he started asking me... as I told u 5 questions, I replied to the first 3 of them, and didn't manage to get what he wants as a reply for the remaining 2 questions...
I was so angry while leaving the Room... that I didn't even wait my friends to finish to check what did they do... I didn't like anybody to c me angry....
Later, a colleague called me to tell me about another exam, and she also told me that she heared the professor saying to one of my friends "eb2o 7'allo el ACM yenfa3ko" this statement is what made me write this post and is why I really dislike the personality of this Professor... despite having gr8 working-brain and a lot of info, I just don't know why he acts like this....
C u later everybody...

I'm at work now but I couldn't stop myself from commenting.
ReplyDeleteeb2o 7'allo el ACM yenfa3ko !! eh da !!
I really hate these ppl elly bey7awlo yeday2o el wa7ed fel 7aga elly bey7ebbaha (we kwayes feeha kaman). What would happen if u were weak and just gave up doing what u r good at just becuz of a selly comment like this.
U know, this reminds me of something we sometimes do. When u see a muslim masalan who is trying to be better but still makes mistakes. and some1 tells him (y3ny betsally we bete3mel kaza!!), some ppl may just stop what they r doing becuz it's being a source of annoying :S :S. Instead of encouraging them to do better, u r blaming them for being good !!
bgd i hate this :S.
sorry for the long comment, but it really bothers me.
looooooooooooooooool
